YAY!!!! I finally has a computer!

After 17 years of my miserable life ( ) I have a computer!  Well, its a laptop but its still a computer
And I know this isn't much but I feel its about time I acquired one (because a phone isn't the best device to do things... ex: posting pictures here on the Arena  )
There are pros and cons to having a laptop vs. smartphones:
Pros of my cell phone:
Autocorrect
Auto capitalization of the "I"s
Rarity crying "Leave me alone!!!" (from MLP;FiM Suited for Success episode) notification when my emails come in.

Cons of my cell phone
Its on a 3G network 

Pros of my Windows Vista laptop
Screen is bigger
I can download things I can't download on my phone
Faster internet 
Play games I can't play on my phone (like Sims 3  )

Cons of my laptop
Its not exactly "wireless" yet...it needs the internet cord plugged in
It gets REALLY hot 
Its Microsoft program-less (no Microsoft word, powerpoint or anything else)
No autocorrect (I'm gonna start misspelling words now  but i'll try my best not to  )
No auto capitilzation of the letter "I"... that's really annoying   

Well, needless to say i'm happy I don't have to use my boyfriend's computer to post pictures her on the Arena anymore 
Although I am bored without Sims to play 
I can just mess around on the internet playing random pony games and looking a pictures on Equestria Daily (Its WAY faster on computer!  ) until I visit my boyfriend's again  (he has my games)

It's pretty typical to have to buy Microsoft word ect in a bundle program. I bought it for mine. With my program it could be shared on three computers. If you know someone that has the package you coul use their disc to download it if they don't mind. It's kinda pricey.

Laptops get hot, I have a cooling fan for mine that plugs into the USB and also has a soft cushion for my lap. It was twenty bucks

My computers autocorrect 

Anyway congrats on your computer! I know I ended up getting a laptop right before college since it seemed super necessary.

Bah! You don't need Microsoft Office. Just get Open Office. It's free, does everything Microsoft does and did I mention it's free? I write daily and I don't even bother with my Word. I use Open Office for everything.  http://www.openoffice.org/

Firefox doesn't autocorrect, but it at least shows you when a word is misspelled.

Ya, I know you have to purchase Microsoft programs  shame though because I really love to write/type
And my mom isn't too keen on spending money  it irritated her enough that we had to go to 5 stores (in the heat of the day...my mom hates it when she sweats Xs) just to find the right modem! And on top of that, getting the internet installed was a major pain  but in the end, it was worth it
