I got to read part of this book at work today!

Summary from the back of the book:
When the family rock farm is in trouble, Pinkie Pie tries to help in the best way she knows how - by planning a Ponyville "rock" concert: Ponypalooza! The party will be super-duper cool and is sure to save the farm. But... Pinkie's family doesn't like the idea and wants her to be serious for once in her life. What's a pony to do?

We had our early 4th of July celebration today which meant a long lunch. Between lunch and my 15 minute break I was able to get part way through chapter 5... or was it chapter 6..... I'm not sure now.

The story does give us the names of Pinkie's family!!!

Mom: Cloudy Quartz
Dad: Igneous Rock
Sis 1: Marble Pie
Sis 2: Limestone Pie

I did get to the part that explains why the rock farm is in trouble. But I'm not going to tell you what it is. I'm going to be a little stinker and make you buy the book for that.

I forgot to mention, this book does not come with a standee card like Twilight's book did.

I'm really liking this book so far. Pinkie Pie is very much the pink sheep in her family! I can relate to that. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has issues with their family not accepting them for who they are. Even though I wasn't able to finish it, you can pretty much tell that Princess Twilight Sparkle is going to step in and show Pinkie's family the error of their ways.
