Now, hes obviously been well loved by a wee girl who was allowed scissors and to play with toys in water..lol
Initially I was inclined to use his tail to rehair his mane, and use dollyhair for a totally new tail, because hes had a good half of his tail cut off..is this a good idea, or should I just leave his tail as is and say, dollyhair for hes mane?

I suppose I'm asking because I dont want to leave him as is, but I don't really like restores of any kind, including rehairs, so I'll probably eventually sell him and upgrade :/ It wont happen for a while though, hes a pricey lil dude! ;)
So in my position what would you do? :)

use toothpaste to get the rust out of his tail and use that to rehair his mane sounds like a good idea. although if you're gonna be getting a whole hank you might as well use it for both as it may look a bit mismatched otherwise?

This is true...its only because I'm not too happy about the rehair and am trying to keep as original as possible.. :( (yes, I realise how fussy I am! ;) )

He's your pony you're allowed to be as fussy as you want!

i'd personally clean the tail and use that to reahair the mane depending on how frizzy the hair is. then use new hair for the tail.

if it's fizzy let it sit in conditioner for a few days and see if that helps. :)

Hehe thanks hun

Thats what I'M leaning towards doing, I'd say new hair for the mane would look awful odd, Its only on the chance I sell him you never know what people like/don't like so I said I'd seek advice :)

His hair is actually grand now,its silky and aside from the start of an age mark popping up near his bum hes in nice condition..pity he got chopped really!

Could you perhaps find a different vintage hair donor?  Like get a few bait tails of the same color to cannibalize for a hair fix?
I'm not really on here anymore. Email me if you need my for something.

I would suggest using the tail to rehair the mane and ask around to customizers to see if they have a donor tail... Like a tail from wigwam or any other pony that had a white tail, that way it would be all original hair and not as much of a restore :)

In fact I may have a wigwam tail, I will take a look when I get home and see if I still have it

Lol cannibalize

I'll also go with the idea of finding another tail to help out with his rump.

That's what I would do and recently did with a Raindrop. Wigwam would be an ideal donor. Finding the green color as donor shouldn't be a problem.

I would make a wanted post asking for white G1 tails and then use them to restore him. :)

But it must be a long and white G1 tail 'cause the boys have slightly longer tails than the girls.
