Well I do litigation and some of it involves copyright infringement suits.  But I see that you are in the U.K., which does things entirely different from the U.S.- so I'm not sure how much advice I could offer.

It's exciting challenging work.  I like it because I'm ADD and I need to constantly have fires under me and a gun to my head to be inspired to do my best work-  and that's exactly what I get.  The downside- sometimes I get burned out.

Thank for your reply It doesn't matter about the UK/US thing. I have to write a letter about why I want to the job (I'm already with the company) so I was just looking for someone who does it every day to see what they do and if that's what I would like to do

What is the job? Research assistant? Attorney? Paralegal?  Consultant? Legal assistant?   Does the job involve transactional work? Litigation? Claims? Research?

IP/Copywright/legal stuff is so broad that what you could be doing in this category could really run the range of experiences, all very different.

It's for our own company, so it's investigating other companies using our IP and stuff.
The job is assistant to the legal team, so likely would be very broad.

You could use words like infringement, brand..
