PC on Argie North Star

Sooo, I have found a nirvana grail. I don't really have that many grails - and even fewer that I will actually ever get. But today I saw an Argie that I thought was perhaps one of the most beautiful rainbow ponies ever... So of course she happened to jump to the top of my wanted list

And yes, that is Argie North Star (or South Star? I've seen some refer to her as that as well - probably because of her symbol North/South reverse?).

I just wanted to check out here what I can expect to be paying for one? I'm thinking around 100$ from some of the research I've done, but not sure if that is correct? And also, how rare is she? Does she come up for sale every now and then or is she more of an oddity?

Sorry for all the Q's, but I'm not really a Nirvana expert.... at all

I would agree with your thoughts on her being about $100

She isn't one of the most rare argies, but as with all argies it can be hard to find them in nice condition.

You are right to think of her as south star instead of north star Since Argentina is below the equator the north star in fact points to the south I think it really brings home the fact she was made in another country since it is such a sublet geographical and cultural reference and difference.

Thank you pkw! Ok, so the 100$ wasn't so bad - I can live with that for a little pony I kind of like the "story" on her symbol as well. It is a great thought to reverse the compass like that. Although a poor little southern pony like that would probably be very confused if she were to live up here in the cold north with me! Her compass would be messed up completely

I too like the story to go with her symbol, it is details like that which makes me love nirvana ponies

I just checked rel's argie price list and she can go up to $180 but her starting price is around $100, so keep your eyes peeled

Yeah, South Star will be closer to $200 than $100.

I can say if you're willing to get one in not the best shape they pop up cheaper. I bought mine in an Argie lot a while back pretty cheap because she needed sunfading, had a chopped mane and some rubs. After messing with her some she turned out looking pretty nice and sunfaded well. I guess it always depends on condition.

and btw there are 2 slight variations of her (as is with virtually all argies)
this one is taller and brighter
