Your first opinions on G4?

I thought they were too dinky and off-model from what I was used to, then I bought a custom Wind Whistler off ebay and then I decided I needed Fluttershy, and then I needed a Rarity to go with her, and now suddenly so so many.

I disliked them at first. I grew up with G1's and was an adult collector of G1's until about 2002ish then stopped collecting for 10 years. I saw the G4's in store and didn't care for them, I think They just looked funny to me because they were so different from my beloved childhood ponies. Last summer I noticed FIM on Netflix and put it on for my 5 year old daughter to try and get her interested in ponies, both her and I are hooked! I totally love the look of G4's now. I don't know if it's because of the personalities behind them or I needed to be more open minded or both but I love them now and my daughter and I each have our own collections and have every brushable character released.
