NC Ponies... Where were they actually made?
« on: June 12, 2013, 02:41:21 PM »
I was just sorting through my ponies and I'm wondering this....

Were they all made in the same place?

Do they actually even count as Nirvanas?

Thanks in advance for any answers :)

Ah, now you mention this I think I've heard it before :)
But ponies marked 'Spain' were only sold in Spain whereas NC ponies (such as the Mummy and Daddy ponies) were sold in the UK too/only?

Short answers -  no they were not all made in the same place and yes they count :)

Longer answer - there are a number of countries that did not mark the country on the feet snd these are known as no country. Off the top of ny head, there are Spain, Greece, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru babies. some of the Spanish ones were sold widely across Europe :)

my childhood lemondrop was no country too ^^ she was bought in austria with the german show stable (pony haus). so i think these NC spain ponies were sold in whole europe.

Ah cool :) Thanks for the info!

Yeah.. It was the Spain ones that I was wondering about. I wasn't sure how much they would count as Nirvanas considering they had a very wide release (I have found plenty at car boot sales) and there's nothing distinguishing about them besides no markings on their feet.

any ponies that are not marked Hong Kong, China and Thailand are considered nirvana ponies :)

there are a few exceptions to this rule including the german, dutch, thai mountain boys and alternate birthflower ponies ;)
