Funky fading, my pony is ombre now

Poor Sweet Berry was in the porch for so long (although this didn't happen to any of the other ponies) that she's faded a lovely ombre:

I thought she was Miss Chef, at first, because identical symbols. Also, was totally looking in the wrong place on the pony colour guide for her at first - she's faded so much, I thought she was pink, not purple.

NOTE: those aren't shadows on her body, that's her colour getting darker in different spots.

Well she is certainly a unique little pony now! Its so easy for them to fade out sometimes isnt it?

The weird thing is, she was at the bottom and all the other ponies were fine (not counting the ones that were smushed, by I don't know what, there was nothing on top of them).

But I really like this fading. It's hard to capture it with the camera and lighting, but she's really pretty as it gradients across her body.

Could it simply be a plastic difference which has caused such a big change in comparison to the other ponies? The legs on the motion ponies are made of a different plastic than the rest of the head/body which often causes the colour differences between the different parts.

Oh, that's definitely what happened with the leg. But her whole body shifts in multiple areas. I think the heat may have done it.

I'm going to stick with the theory that G2s were of a very bad quality and they fade more easily than others. I do like her now though :) just, darn that moving leg that always has to stick out!

That is kind of neat, but yeah the G2 plastic does seem different.  Also anytime you go for pink from red, red is the least stable color of the primary's, you can get more color change issues.

G2s mean well.

But you're right, for the longest time I was confused how they could even be customized, they felt so different.
