They are called Trucker hats???? I have never heard that before We dont even have Baseball in the UK and yet we would still call them Baseball caps. I have learned something new today!

I'm familiar with the term 'Trucker hat'. If I'm correct, it's only used for caps that have those mesh side panels.

Yes, Trucker hats have a mesh backing and a subtly different shape than baseball hats, although they are extremely similar. Also, baseball hats are almost always made of a stiff cloth, but trucker hats can have a foam-like front. I'm not sure why... perhaps to better collect sweat? I've never compared them side-by-side, but usually when I see trucker hats I also feel that they look slightly larger than baseball caps, although I suppose they could make them in different sizes, so maybe the ones I've seen just cater to large-headed people? lol
