Lanard ponies?

Hiya.

Lanard ponies (if I have spelt that right). Can someone tell me about them?

I often see people say "oh, it's a Lanard" or "oh, it's a Lanard fakie" so I got as far as surmising Lanard are a fakie company that were so good they got fakied themselves?

But I don't really know anything else about them. I have something coming to me that is apparently Lanard, but it's a new thing, from 2005, but I don't think I would know what they look like in shops to know it was a Lanard as opposed to a general fakie. Does anyone collect newer ones, or just 80's ones.
