Can you help me ID an antique Piglet?

My mom is curious about the monetary value of some things, specifically her childhood Piglet doll. She got Piglet in 1968, at which point the doll was already old and worn.

The doll has a wire frame inside. Piglet was apparently light pink, with hot pink ears. His eyes seem to be metal. His body has white and blue stripes inside of the current Piglet's pink. I took a few quick webcam pictures. (Ignore the scarf, I made that when I was younger to keep his head on snug.)

Has anyone ever seen a Piglet like this? Anyone know the year or the maker? It's my mom's childhood toy, so we aren't going to sell it, but she's interested in the origins and age, and the value. Thank you to anyone who can help! I'd like to be able to give her some information on it.

Well, I cannot help with ID but it definitely looks like many of my mother's childhood plushies. Wire frame, same fabric, eyes...

Could it be maybe made by Gund? I have an old Winnie the Pooh toy from the 60's made by them.
