Help! Pen marks - RESULTS POSTED!

I have had my Swirly Whirly for some time now. I had finally gotten around to trying to clean her. She has terrible pen marks. I can not sun fade because I have had a bad experience every time I have tried sun fading. Is there another way? Anything helps!

For marks like that I am sorry to say sun fading really is your only option The ink looks as though it has seeped into the plastic so acetone and magic eraser will probably not work.

Can I ask what problems you had with sun fading before? Perhaps people can offer you some tips to prevent the same issues again?

Do you think that heating her up and making the plastic more.. squishy(?) feeling that i could possibly work its way out. She is in pretty bad condition, but I could experiment on a bait Blossom with the same problem

Anyways, I have attempted to sun fade 2 ponies. One being Baby Lucky, and the other being Medley. I read all about sun fading before giving it a try just to make sure I would not mess it up. I really dont know what happened. I sun faded Lucky for 2 weeks, checking on him daily. first week there was little change, second week he had turned into a white pony. It also seemed that his symbol "melted" and it looked runny. Same thing happen to Medley. I don't really know what happened.
So I don't sun fade anymore

Unfortunately its not the heat which gets the ink out - its the actual UV rays in sunlight. They work to bleach the colours in the ink therefore heating her up wont worry, you ll need to actually expose her to sunlight.

Gosh that is quite an extreme reaction to sunlight! Did you put anything on the ponies prior to sun fading, any chemicals or similar. Also did it happen literally over night?

For stains that have become part of the vinyl, the only way to remove them is through sunfading. 

Make sure to check on them everyday - even 8 hours can make a difference.  You only exposed the stained parts to the sun, with covered symbols and hair, and this still happened?  Did you put any kind of chemical on them?

I didn't put anything on them, I covered the hair with foil and covered the symbols with that blue painters tape. Thats all I did, I did check on them every morning, and afternoon.

I did heat her up and i did some scrubbing that lightened up the ink stains. Right now I am sun fading her. Hopefully nothing goes wrong! I am checking her more just incase.
