Takara Baby Fakies

I just saw a few Takara Fakies and I think I'm in love!

But where are they sold? Are they only on eBay or are they still
in stores?

If you know of anywhere that I can get them, please let me know!

Not in stores anymore. There are quite a few manufacturers, and they have been found from Europe~Argentina... But many people remember them from their childhood.... so they are older, for the most part. (The original mold is from the early 80s).
Ebay is a so-so place to get them, because I feel like they are overpriced there (There was one recently for $60). Depending on where you are located, some people can find them locally second hand. (Not so much for the US, but it does happen).
Despite what people may say, I think you can grab them for $25-$35 if you are patient enough to wait for some to pop up here. I know I've had some sort of difficulty getting rid of mine for that price... u__u;

My Takara Fakies

These two are super nice and the yellow one even has a nice rehair job. I've seen them on eBay for over $50 and they were the ones that needed some TLC. ( bad paint rubs and super frizzed hair ).

If you want an alternative, there are people who make their own Takara fakie babies here on the Arena and on Etsy.

Sigh, I had two of these as a kid.. But when I started collecting ponies, I sold all my fakies at the fleamarket, thinking they're all worthless. Well, there goes my takara fakies too for 2 euros each. I would have never guessed they are popular.  I regret selling the other fakies too, stupid me. It was some weird "i only need hasbro ponies!"-phase..

i had a blue and a pink one as a kid and i thought the same and i thought they where boring because they couldn't do anything more then just sit there.
