ID this Disney plush for me + Op shopping brag!
« on: April 15, 2013, 11:34:06 PM »
So I heard you guys like Disney merch. Well I found this (So far as I know) vintage Dumbo in an Op shop today for $1. Pretty good condition, no tag. minor eye scuff on the right eye, still very blue and over all absolutely beautiful.

I hope someone knows around the year it was made. I'd highly appreciate it :)

I also found this Carebear and this scarf!

Happy day today! I only spent $4 all up. $2 for the scarf and $1 for Dumbo and $1 for Carebear. ^_^

Your Dumbo *might* be from Hardees.  I remember they had some small plush Disney toys sometime in the 80's.  I know there was Bambi, Lady & the Tramp, Pinocchio, and Dumbo.  I am just not sure if that is the same Dumbo plush or not, it's been a long time.  ;)

Ooh I'll google it! Thanks :) I'll tell you the outcome.

Unfortunately it isn't the same one. VERY similar though! His collar has a red rim around it :)

No, that Dumbo isn't from Hardees. I have the Hardees one. Your's is too big. I might have the same Dumbo as the one you found. He is from the 1980's. Most likely sold at either one of the Disney parks or Sears stores. That's the best I can do without info from the tush tag.

ETA: Yeah, it look like the Sears one.

It does look like that one! Probably the same type but the eyes are still different ^_^ Thanks for the info!

I think I found it!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney-Dumbo-Vintage-1980s-Disney-World-Disneyland-Theme-Park-Plush-Blue-Hat-8-/171011514941

It's from the 1980's from Disneyland. Heh, how amazing that something vintage from Florida in America comes to an Op Shop in Brisbane Australia for only $1. ^_^

(Oh and for some reason I can't hide the link as 'link'...

Were you able to move back in with your parents, or are you still in a situation where your life is being threatened?

I think it would be a very smart idea to start an emergency fund, even if that money is normally the money you would "treat" yourself with.

Wish you all the best in your life situation!
