Is this a safe way to package a pony?
« on: December 27, 2013, 06:47:45 AM »
A while ago, my bouyfriend bought me a pony off Ebay since they'd only ship to the UK. When it got to him, he described it as looking "more like a tennis ball than a pony." I was nervous, but told him to send it on, since he pointed out hey, sometimes it seems like they play tennis with the packages ayway, this is the perfect shape!

When I got it, it was wrapped in (I swear) what much have been three inches of bubble wrap. The pony inside was safe and sound! I had to laugh, that was one protected pony!

Sounds like a super safe way xD I try to put all of my ponies in a zip lock sandwich baggie at the very least to protect them in case the package gets wet. If it is a large lot I use a grocery bag :) Usually a bubble mailer is pretty sufficient. If it is a custom some more care may be needed though :) Sounds like she arrived super safely :D

Oh, what I mean was, there was no mailer, no box--just masses of bubble wrap covered in black plastic.  I thought that was hilarious, but effective!

after all that extra protection, they forgot a box? thats so ironically hilarious. nice to know that the pony is safe inside its "personal bubble", though.   :snicker:
