Brush ID for Plush Ponies?
« on: April 01, 2013, 08:58:10 PM »
Hello,

I'm sitting here tonight catching up on The Waking Dead and trying to ID piles of combs and brushes.  I have a purple flower brush here with a small hole in the bottom that I believe came with a plush pony.  My usual brush identification sites don't include plush ponies so I have no idea who it belongs to.  Anyone know a website that can help me?

Thanks!
~Cricket

Well, do you have a picture because, I don't know if you are talking about a G1 or G3 brush.  It sounds like a G3 brush that might have gone to a play set but without seeing it, I can't be sure.   You could try this site for G3.

And if its vintage try this site:

If you are talking about G1 plush brushes I have no clue where there is information on those.  Someone will know though.

Thanks for the help.  It's a G1 purple flower brush.  Great Ponies is the site I normally use but there is no mention of plush ponies.  I can get a picture of it later but it's just a standard purple flower brush with a little round hole in the bottom.  I've seen them on the plush ponies in ebay auctions before.  They are held in place with a plastic hang tag.

There is quite a bit of flexibility when it comes to plush brushes and sometimes they were easily switched around - the only consistent in the Softies was that the earth ponies came with flower brushes and the unicorns/pegasus came with star brushes. Bow Tie came with a yellow flower brush, Cotton Candy with a purple flower brush and Blossom with a white flower brush. Cherries Jubilee and Posey also came with purple flower brushes. And all the Applause plush came with purple flower brushes too.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
