My very first Monster High custom! WIP!

Well- this weekend I was super inspired by one of my favorite Brian Froud fantasy/fairy type books-

And got all inspired to make a MH custom!

As you can see-  I've had a little trouble with her makeup, but she is a WIP-  does anyone know how to paint monster high dolls so they don't have clumpy nasty paint?   Or how to make a wig?  Or re-hair?  Or what clothes fit MH dolls? 

Still-  she is coming along nicely !!!   I haven't finished her yet, but I assure you she will look much better when done!  If anyone wants to commission me please feel free-  I charge $55 for a basic face up and clothing and hair... (extra for shoes).  There are three slots open so hurry!!!!

Haha- just kidding.  This poor girl needed some crusty paint removed and this is what happened after dunking her into some acetone.  Her head actually swelled up too quite impressively, but the swelling seems to have gone down now I'm sorry to report...  It must be April 1st somewhere in the world by now, right? hehe

Small paint brushes for detail and watering down your acrylics will help with the paint being thick and clumpy.

I can't help you on wigs lol but I do got a white fluffy mohair wig that will fit MH dolls. I had someone make it for me. I used a reroot tool to hair my pony.

The acrylic paint has an Elmer's glue/school glue thickness. If you use a little bit of water to make acrylic paint more "milky", it usually goes on cleaner and better than just straight up acrylic paint. Also, I use watercolor pencils to "draw" on the eyes and paint over it with acrylics. Like coloring a paint by number kit.

Well  you'll never guess what but I discovered this entirely new way to re-hair-  I am totally going to post a tutorial, and if someone would like to commission me, that would be okay too (just $35 for a re-hair, although styling is extra)
