Selling Blind Bags
« on: March 28, 2013, 06:36:06 PM »
how should I go about selling my blind bags? by wave or individually? and how much should I ask for them... the $3 a piece they sell for at the store?

I need a lot of help lol as I will be selling a lot here soon, and would like to sell on the arena before I resort to ebay if at all possible.

I would suggest individually, since there may be people looking for certain ones to complete their waves.  $3 sounds resonable!

I would probably sell them individually. I think your chances are far better because there are folks just looking for that "one" certain pony to complete their collection.

As far as price I know the Wave 1 tend to go a little higher as they are harder to come by in stores, if at all.  If I was you I would check completed listings on ebay to help get a better idea on what people are willing to pay.

I would sell individually. As others have said people are always looking for set completers. :) If you end up with leftovers you can combine into sets of 3 or more and sort them by wave - this nets less money but sets tend to sell faster.

Wave 1 tends to go for more money as it had limited availability. Wave 4 (the all-glittery wave in the blue bags) go for the least money as they had wide distribution to the point where the market was saturated.
The Main 6 characters, unless special editions like the metallic ones, tend to go for the least out of all of the characters. Some characters are more desirable than others - Twilight Sky usually sells for more than Berry Green, for example.

The european wave 2 ones are worth much more than the others. Pink glittery Twilight Sparkle too.

I agree with what most have said here.

Wave 2 - personally I would auction individually - they are super popular and hard to find due to a really limited release. Wave 3 onwards was and still is relatively easy to come across and due to market saturation most people who were looking for them have or will be able to find them in stores/online. The mane 6 from these waves, the ones which are not special release, dont really hold much of a value at all. Of the others $1-2 each to be honest with $3 for some of the more popular characters. Wave 1 tends to always be $3-4 per one, minus the mane 6 of course.

I would also offer them individually and then group those remaining into little lots :) Good luck with the sales!
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
