I haven't actually got a picture of the most recent expansions. I do have a plan for the next phase though; the customs cabinet is moving across the room (under the small window next to the CD tower, I only have one desk upstairs now), then a 202cm, 40cm wide Ikea Billy Bookcase is going in next to that, and then a 202cm, 80cm wide Ikea Billy Bookcase is going against the wall where the cabinet used to be.

My G4s will move to the top of the display cabinet, my G2s and G3s can move to the 40cm bookcase, and my armies can move to the 80cm bookcase.

Then I'll have room to buy new books, or just fill that space with ponies again. I decided a long time ago that it was pointless trying to stop the ponies from taking over. It's definitely slowed down now as my want list is getting expensive. :P

^^ oh this made me giggle :) I'm at the point in my and my daughter's room where we are just out of space. Am actually off to the hardware store tomorrow to buy wider shelving to allow her top shelf to have a riser. And maybe a DVD tower to squish next to her other shelves. My room is at it's limits cause I don't want my OH to have a coronary about having to sleep with ponies. I have a 3 tier shelf that's about a foot wide, with each shelf having a three tiered riser on it. I bought it while he was interstate a month ago, and even tho I shoved the bed over about half a foot to accommodate it, I don't think he's noticed yet... But def not gonna push it!! Darned 70's houses with small rooms and no storage!!

Those are some awesome tips Jem! :)

I actually use those IKEA CD racks as well! They currently host all the pony wear wearing ponies and take up a space which would otherwise have been useless!

My bedside table looks awfully bare now that I've moved most of the ponies on it onto the chest of drawers. I have only six by my bed now. On the plus side all the ponies in my small collection are now on display yay me.

I have a display cabinet that was my great Grandma's, I have that one overflowing already, including the top of it. The rest of my ponies are stacking up on my dresser, (with much rolling of the eyes from the hubby). and they are starting to fill up on the top of the bookshelf too as the shelves themselves have books and dvds filling them. My hubby said once we get the debt paid off he might be willing to make a pony room for me in the basement...sigh....

I've just worked out that although I wrote 7 years ago up there, it was actually 4. It's taken me 4 years to amass several hundred ponies.  :faint:

Thanks for your thoughts everyone!
My thing is while I have a whole room that can let get almost completely consumed by ponies right now I can't count on having this much extra space next time I move so I don't want to go too crazy  ^^;
I don't like having things packed away so I think I may end up end up selling items off that I'm not as attached to as others when my collection grows too big.

Ugh, my collection is currently suffering from space. I live at home, so the best plan I have right now is to add another shelf to my bookshelf and buy a little thing of drawers. I have a bunch of mine in a box in my closet now, because I did a recent clean-up. :/ Right now, my Mintys (minus a couple duplicates) are hanging out on one of my dressers, a collection of spring-themed G4s and G3s on my other, plus a doll hanging out with Rarities and Sweetie Belle. And then I have a few next to my computer chair and Lily Blossom, Doctor Whooves, and Minuette on the bookcase. I actually need to sell some. ._.

I also need to post proper pictures...

I just get rid of what doesn't fit onto my large, built in shelving. I don't like them all over the room, or crammed in one spot. ^///^; Although I do have some glitter blind bags on the top of a window ledge in the work room... they shine so nicely.

When I decided it was overflowing-- I would look at my collection, figure out which one I don't like-- or has the least sentimental value-- and sell them.

I dunno. Having 'too many' just isn't for me. And I don't enjoy them in totes/storage. o__o; It's been positive for me... and even more so has cut down on impulse buys.

Those are some good tips, Jem.  I'm going to incorporate some of them into my new pony room.
