Ok so apparently the reverse bowtie sold for
$13300!  The seller said she was already paid.

Ok, while I am a convert to understanding the price of nirvana (to me high is $1000) I agree that you talk tens of thousands of euros, GBP, dollars etc. I am spending it to renovate the barn and have playtime with real horses... that is not just toy$$ (I second the paying off the mortgage chunk or a car otherwise as well)

So am I the only one to wonder what else was inside that pony then?

I agree. the seller isn't all there for sure.. she also said the person paid with wired transfer.
Who in their right mind would trust her enough to A) purchase that huge amount outside of ebay being that she is not an arena member even and B) Wire her the money

Sooo bizarre!!! It's such a shame that beautiful rare pony is caught in the middle of all this weirdness and will never get to be appreciated by one of us collectors : (

Until I see someone come forward and say they paid that much, I don't believe it sold that high. Partly because anyone willing to spend that much on a variant pony should at least be aware of this forum (even if they don't post) or the TP and could probably have offered half that amount to someone owning one and likely been successful.

I seen that auction.....lol...I had to watch it just to see what happened...sucks that the seller is that stupid....my gosh....that is a ton of money!!!

I am finding the whole thing very strange now, especially since the seller is sharing so much with you ember1, that is unless you knew her already then it would make sense

Nope dont know her.
Well I have asked her a lot of questions mainly because
I was hoping she would put the pony back on normal auction.
I was hoping the high offers she was getting were  bogus.

But it's hard to tell if anything I was told was true or not.

i think the fact she is sharing so much with you about the transaction and that you don't really know her is what concerns me.

it is a shame she didn't let the auction run, but at the end of the day there is nothing really we can do
