a birthday coming, need ideas, please show me your mlp cakes & other party theme

my little girl will be three soon and i need some inspiration mlp style 
i would love to see pictures of mlp theme birthday partys, cakes, decor. etc

i want to try my hand at a pony cake by carving a sponge but i have never done it before.

Oh I don't have any pictures to share unfortunately. But this sounds like a lovely idea to make it all pony focused - I cant wait to see other people' s pictures.

yeah maybe it would be good to make a party ideas thread for pony peeps of all ages. an on going one like.

i would of thought i would have had a lot more interest/help, oh well i will have to post pictures of what i landed up doing. maybe it could inspire others if needed

Here is the cake my youngest daughter had when she turned three! My very clever sister in-law made it. In the second photo you can see a slice where it was rainbow coloured on the inside.

And this isn't quite as clever, but for my eldest's birthday just last weekend I made her a pin the tail on the pony for her party

I've bought giant slabs of sponge from the supermarket before - they're easy to cut and shape, but can be a little tricky to ice due to the crumbly nature of the sponge.

That Rainbow Dash cake is to die for!! It looks amazing and delicious too!

I know it's not handmade or particularly elaborate but here's an ice cream cake that I had for my last birthday (yes I'm 35!!). It's from Dairy Queen and I guess he took in a picture of Glory and some bronies work there so they took over

A couple of years ago, we had a pony party for my daughter. We even had real ponies, which was the highlight for her. Anyway, I think the cake turned out cute.

wow they are great cake everyone, i love them all and have really help inspire me. i was thinking of putting a brushable size fluttershy on mine making it pink and yellow to mach some of her gift but looking at the ponyville on them look fantastic and we have the ferris wheel.
i was always puzzled as to how to do a rainbow cake but i see its been separated and dyed? how cool

and lol love the bronies taking over at the cake shop i think i want a glory cake for my birthday in Jan. now
