Can French Starshine be safely sunfaded?
« on: March 18, 2013, 11:08:05 AM »
I don't know if she "burns" like normal HK Starshine or if she's ok to work on.  My poor Starshine will be very nice if I can get a child's name off of her, lol!

i reckon she would be going by the ones iv seen, remember i good indication is, if she has the hard vinyl the chances are shes good to go but the softer squeezy  ones are the ones prone to sun burn especially if she already has cancer spots. there are two types of the HK ones and im only guessing there are just the one kind of french SS.
do you have pictures of her?

Not with me, no, but I can link to her ended auction, right?  ::hopes she can::

She doesn't have any other permanent marks.  Everything else has come right off and her hair is wonderful after a quick condition.  She was WHITE under all that grime!  O.o

yes you can link to an ended auction ;)

well done you got a great deal :bigups: you could try sunfading her, just make sure you wrap her up well so only the marks are showing and keep a very close eye on her.

My thought is if you try what have you got to lose? As long as the rest of her is protected very well. Good luck with whatever you decide. She's beautiful and you got a GREAT deal either way! : )

Ember1 was that you that peroxided the buggy back to white? A bit OT but just wondering how that would work on Cherry Treats or the like as well...

Yes use remove zit and cover her hair and symbols and leave in sun

that might work too :)

i always test the remove-zit under a hoof just in case it makes the pony go yellow ;)
