Killing Mold?
« on: March 05, 2013, 03:41:08 PM »
I have a bait that's been sitting around with mold on her for a while, and I think Dad's getting sick of her being there.  I am too, so I'm here to ask, how can I kill off this crap?  It's the large brown kind with the dark dots in the middle.  I've seen success stories of sunfading, but that's out of the question because our weather is misbehaving...

Thats not mold. It could be caused by bacteria though and could already be dead. Wiping the pony with something antibacterial might ease your mind. I have had some luck with putting the pony in a jar of peroxide for a few weeks but not ponies with neon hair or red hair as it will bleed.

Unfortunately that sounds like age marks/cancer rather than mould. I have seen people have success in fading it away to various degrees with sun fading but alas it wont actually get rid of it completely and its likely it will come back over time.

The good news is that it won't spread from pony to pony even though the chemical break down may continue further in that pony its not infectious :) So you should be fine to display or customise her without worry whichever you intended to do.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
