De-tinselled NON-FS Luna/White Celestia?

Hallo ponies!

I ran a search and only came up with results for detinselling FS Luna and Celestia - so - I'm wondering if anyone's done it with the standard size releases from this year, and might have pictures? In the past I haven't cared much about it one way or the other because my G3s got washed and styled once and then went on the display shelf, but my princesses sit on my computer table and I'm always playing with them, and I've never wanted to de-tinsel so badly in my life. @.@ I'm not worried about devaluing them, they're in my personal collection and have already been partially customized with painted shoes; I just want to make sure I won't regret doing it because they were gifts and I won't be able to conveniently replace them!

I am sure there will be more than enough of these girls up for sale and in collections in the future so that if you ever did decide to replace yours with versions still with their tinsel it wont be an impossible search.

I understand the dislike for tinsel but as I dont remove like to change ponies from original I dont remove the tinsel from mine - hopefully someone else will help with pictures.

Yea, there are ton of them down at WalMart, so it's not finding them again, it's just...pony budget, y'know?

I'm normally so OCD about keeping things as they are when they come out of the box, but Celly's tinsel is just so. Much. Rar. X_x

Which Luna are you referring to? I detinselled a playful pony sized Luna about a week ago and I like her so much more now that I can actually style her hair. Here's a pic, hopefully it'll at least give you an idea of what the newer Luna/Celestia will look like detinselled.

I've detinseled both, I actually just finished white Celestia a few minutes ago I do think they look much better without the tinsel. I'll try to get a picture up.

Edit: Here we go! I apologize for Celestia's hair being a bit messy, she hasn't gotten the spa treatment yet.

Yes, those were what I meant, I've actually got both the 'younger' Luna and the 'grown-up' size, so they'll both be getting trips to the salon if I go through with it - so that did help! They do look much better that way, thank you both!

They do look so much better wow! I think I ll need to get a second set so I can have one original and one without tinsel as I just cant bring myself to detinsel those I have.
