what do you use? im going to Hobby Lobby tomorrow and thinking of seperating yarn and brushing it out... suggestions on types/brands of yarn or other mediums (preferably easily obtained... im impatient so im trying not to resort to online buys)

pics of the finished puffs would be appreciated too so i can see the different effects =D

Yep wool acrylic blend or acrylic wool thick seems to work the best :)

Personally I recommend simply using raw wool :)

omg thanks so much R! ideally i knew id love to work with wool (my sister spins so im familiar with the texture) but didnt want to go thru the dying hastle. didnt think a regular chain would carry it! :lovey: :lovey: :lovey:

now to bully my bestie into taking my to JA instead of HL tomorrow when were bombin around =P

Np! I was surprised when I found it too, but it works beautifully!  ^.^ Joanne's has expanded from fabric into full on crafts, and they have some pretty good stuff!

Here's the custom I did with it, it looked very close to the real pp hair  :biggrin:

I've used acrylic wool as well but I think mohair wool is more puffy =)
