newbie question re swaps

ok so there look to be some interesting swaps coming up however i understand you need feedback to be able to sign up.
how do i go about gaining relevant feedback as i don't have a collection as such at the moment (just blind bags and a boxfull of bait ponys) so i wouldn't know where to start with a private swap

I was in the same boat as you not that long ago (I was totally jonesing to join a swap) I put up a private swap request to improve my feed back. And with luck two very nice people took pity on me and did a wonderful private swap with me (they know who they are  )

you could try setting up a sale/trade thread most of the feed back asked for is usually based on them. 

And just getting your post count up.

if you ever want to do a small private swap drop me a pm anytime. even if it is just for a few blind bags/baits and chocolate it still adds to feed back.

As cyberunicorn suggested you can make a post saying you are looking for a couple people to do a private swap with. You can also buy ponies from other people on the arena, check out the classifieds and sales forum.

What they said. I'm guessing you are considering custom swaps since you posted in the customs forum? Private custom trades are usually fairly easy to get. Most everyone likes the experience they get from them and the chance to try something new and improve their skills. Just make a post looking for a trade partner.

drop me a pm if you wanted to swap some blind bags. i have a couple rattling around and have been thinking of customizing some, but the new set is all glittery and obnoxious. id like to trade away some of them for more 'regular' ones for painting. =]
