Princess Buzz -Custom for my nephew

She was made out of a Princess Celestia pony, which has shown me that I will never again make a custom out of one. Ever.  She was rehaired with Limey Pie and Purple Haze (I think...) monofiber from RetroDolls US. Both her wings and hair were superglued in, so play shouldn't be an issue. She was painted with acrylics and given a good solid coating of Dullcote.

The story behind her:
My 3 year old nephew is my favorite brony, and he loves the custom ponies that I make. He always calls them "pretty" even when they're not finished, lol. So I have been wanting to make him a custom that would be a pony just for him for a while. Well, I had a falling out with his parents and haven't seen him in almost two months, and will be moving out of state with my boyfriend at the end of the month. Meaning that I really wanted to do this for him before we leave. Thankfully his grandparents are setting up a time for me to go over to their house to see him tonight, and I was very happy that I finished her in time.

The idea for Princess Buzz came from a story I heard about him this past fall. He was playing dress up in a dress that had been left over from a garage sale. While playing he began calling himself Princess Celestia. After a few moments of thought, he then declared himself Princess Buzz (as Toy Story is another favorite of his). So, she was done in the colors of Buzz Lightyear with a rocket cutie mark. I also painted some glow in the dark dots on her wings to look like stars.

She is awesome!  I love that you tied in the Princess Buzz (he sounds adorable!)  I'm sure he will adore her!

Her wings, and then the fact that her head didn't go back on quite right. Lol, i probably will do another at some point, but she'll have to be for a good reason.

UPDATE:
I got to see my nephew last night and gave him the pony. I must learn that 3 year olds are only excited about gifts when they come wrapped, lol. I have no doubt that he'll love her dearly. But it was super good to see him and play with him, even for a little bit. And, as I expected, I broke down and cried when he hugged me good night.
