I love this set:D So much that I'm making g4 blind bag versions hehe. But besides Dazzle, happy glow also had aqua or blue streaks. I've also owned opaque/ clearer versions of every pony. I'll have to get some pics of my girls. I still have dazzle and star glow MOC, I just love the artwork

Didn't have a chance to take beautiful pics so please excuse these gals hair, they've been in bins for a while. Pulling them out though just reminded me how much I miss them! Like I said, I have had clearer to almost barely see through versions of each pony. Looks like I sold my opaque Bright glow though. The most noticeable ones I have are these two Star glows.

Anywho, Here's Happy glow with blue hair on the left and teal on the right laying down, pic two they are reversed.

I don't know if it's true with all of them but I've noticed the ones I have, that the opaque Dazzle and Happy glow are the ones with blue hair. Might be just a weird batch thing though because I've noticed this with a lot of G1s between blue/aqua as well as ponies with dark orange/red hair like Tuneful, paradise etc... I have 3 different Dazzle's. Opaque blue hair/pink hearts, clear with teal hair/pink hearts, and clear with teal hair/blue hearts.

I love the blue haired one! I also just noticed the shape of her eyes is different from the other two!

ETA: The more I think about it, I almost wonder if the opaque versions were the international ones? My whole set when I got them came from a gal in Canada. And all the Glowing magic ponies from the UK i've seen with their ribbons seem to be more opaque ones as well. Any thoughts on this?

Awesome Wysteria! Thank you so much for sharing. Happy Glow clearly has the same colour difference as Dazzle. I love finding a new pony to find - I need that Happy Glow variant.

Oh goodness, that blind bag is ADORABLE!

One of these years I'll get some Glow 'n Shows (usually too expensive for my liking)... seeing all these pics makes me want them even more!

Personally for "variant" I was just referring to the hair colour as thats a clear and deliberate difference. Personally I agree with you and I think the clear/opaque thing may be a bit of a red herring. All transparent make reasonably cheaply and with added chemicals will cloud over time.

Thank you Hathorcat, I just watched that episode from youtube.

The Glowing Magical Ponies seem to be some kind of spirits (?). All of them are pegasi and there's a glowing halo around them. At least Brightglow and Dazzleglow (blue hearts) are otherwise exactly like the actual pony figure. There's four of them, two are pink, one blue and one orange. Happyglow seems to be pink instead of orange.

They saved Bon Bon and Patch from their dangerous adventures... Aww they are good spirits. I need more of them  Why did I ever sell my Brightglows and Happyglows

I also love this set and wish they had made nore of these sweethearts. I have Starglow and absoulutely love her to pieces. I didn't know about all the cool differences either. Love, love, love them and wish I had an army of them!
