Crystal Motion customs?
« on: March 22, 2013, 06:25:43 PM »
Hello! I bought a Twilight Sparkle this morning, and I can't wait for her to be my first real custom (Vinyl Scratch). Unfortunately, I can't for the life of me figure out how to take her apart! I found a screw to unscrew, but it didn't seem to do anything. How do I separate the halves of her body?  >_<

i swear the only reason toy company's put screws in there toys is so that it doesnt fall apart while glue is drying or something xD

thats probably not the real reason, but thats what it seems like to me, because like you, iv unscrewed toys before to find that it had no affect at all haha. I wish I could help, im sure someone around here will have something helpful to say :p

The crystal motion ponies are going to be hard to take apart... if they have the same hard plastic as the Shine Brights then you are in for a ride on getting her undone.. along with the mechanism and all

I do too! But lately I've been avoiding them due to work. Let me know on the Secret Surprise pony though, i have one that is missing her saddle and I'm debating on what to do with her

It's a neat idea, but a very tough first project.  Have you considered starting with a regular pony and working on your awesome DJ girl afterwards?  It could help the challenge be a little more rewarding. Just a thought.  Can't wait to see what you create either way!

I think I'm gonna turn one of them into a piggy bank (I have two missing the saddles)
