Markers on my Posey
« on: March 24, 2013, 03:22:17 PM »
So I got not so long ago a Posey from a huge lot. But some kid has drawn a stripe of marker on her cutie mark and I dont know how to remove it. I tried nail polischer but it doesnt work. (It works with paint stains) So does someone know how to get this ugly blue marker of her yellow body?

Sunfading might be the only option for that, unfortunately...

Arg. I hate stains on cutie marks! You have to be extra careful, and Posey's symbols are prone to fading. From the sound of it, though, sunfading may be your best option. :( Cover up the rest of her, leaving only the marked-on bit exposed and hopefully you'll see a result. Just keep an eye on her!

Yeah unfortunately the only way to remove marker is by sunfading :( and it can take a long time depending on how much sun you get.

Have you tried a magic eraser? If you are delicate you should be able to use it on her symbol especially if you have tried acetone, that would be much more likely to remove her symbols.

If the magic eraser doesnt work then I guess unfortunately sun fading is your next best bet.

I tried Aceton again when I were home... and it worked! Perhaps it was because she was wet when I first tried it. But I had to sacrifise part of her cutie mark. Not much thank goodness. I have some pics here:

She actually doesn't look half bad, even with the missing stem. It probably would have been a struggle to sunfade those without also losing a bit of the symbol, so it seems to have worked out well!
I'll put something here some time

Acetone is wonderful stuff! She looks great even with the missing bits of symbol. I wouldn't actually notice at a glance that there was anything wrong with them.
