Monster High Cosplay Thread!

I know there are a few of us who would like to cosplay as MH characters or have/currently cosplay them and would want help and give advice!

I am looking into cosplaying Cleo, but while I have no sewing skills, I would love to create a Cleo-inspired outfit. I found a few items that I would love to incorporate into the outfit since I feel they would be something Cleo would wear. I would be very grateful if I could get some advice since I'm not the most knowledgeable on fashion.

The items I bought were a couple of earrings, a matching necklace to one of the pairs and a pair of leggings. I apologize for the crappy cellphone pictures:

I'm not sure what to add to the outfit. I'm also debating on which earrings to go with. Cleo wears gold so I think the gold with blue feathers would work great, but I adore the peacock earrings and necklace!

I would suggest Joannes for fabric if you are looking at making a top for that... there are a bunch of cure ideas in the pattern section... and there are some patterns by simplicity that are for beginners... It would make them really easy for you... If you have a sewing machine just follow the instructions... I had never before sewn anything, and I got nesting fever really bad when I was pregnant with my youngest, and I made an entire bed set... so thats saying something... If you need help... just PM me...

I'm not sure if I'll make a top or dress or what yet. I'm not sure what would go with these adorable leggings! I have so much fabric that I could use from attempting to make costumes, but I feel more comfortable buying stuff.

I wonder if you would be able to find some sort of Mummy like fabric that you could fashion into a type of tube top sort of thing... Do you have a cleo wig? I am so wanting to see this when you finish 

I don't have a Cleo wig yet. I'm debating on if I want to have it with teal or blue streaks or just gold or what length, etc. so I have yet to get one.
