Haha it's funny, I started the video and was listening to the music of the commercials while I was in another window online and I'm like "Man that really sounds like 90's music." And then I looked and found they were all from 1987 lol. Guess that was about the transition time!

I like to compare the ages of the little girls in various gens of MLP commercials. Really tells you what demographic they were aiming for. (Like, the G3 commercials had younger girls than the G1 commercials, I believe.)

Man.. I thought the USA was military-obsessed today, but heck half these commercials feature some kind of army or air force theme, especially the ones aimed at young boys... >_>;;;
