I've had two Monster High fan charters for about 2 years now, hanging around my head and, of corse I want to make dolls of them, I just got the base for one of them and you think I'd be happy right?

Nope, all I could do was go on Deviantart and see if anyone else had my idea first, I'm not too surprised that someone else did, so besides my depression killing most of my desire to make these charters into something solid, there is also that discouragement.

The Oc's are the daughters of the Snow miser and Heat miser from "A year without Santa clause." I started to obsess over the song and so, obviously I had to make fan charters right? I spent a couple hours trying to think of clever pun names and trying to make them, deciding about personalities and such. I even googled what I would need to make them. All of that has come to nothing so far.

Anyway, anybody want to share their Monster high oc's, head cannons or anything else? Maybe it will pull me out of this rut a little.

Urm, I can't help in terms of Monster High, but I did just design my Pokémon Trainer OC if that might help inspire you?! I bet hundreds of people have ones looking the same if not similar to mine, but I'm basing her off what I look like IRL.

I hope you can lift your spirits enough to make them. You shouldn't feel put out by other's creations! Hold your head up high, similarities will always be drawn, it can't be helped.

Like Icecrystalline, I can't help with the MH bit, but I'm also agreeing that anytime you create something within the confines of a set property, there are probably other people thinking of similar things - but it doesn't need to be any less fun for you. 

In my case, I'm sure lots of people created a Dragon Age character who looks similar to mine:

Maybe instead of letting other people's similar work discourage you, you could just use that as inspiration?
