I've not had any of the pearl coating damaged on my ones. Maybe a tiny bit of paint fading, but since the yellowing isn't on the paint, there is not really any need to pop the peroxide on it.

Oh, I forgot to say before, don't put them in the sun. It only discolours them more, and will break down the hydrogen peroxide.
