So here she is. My grandma passed away this September and she gave this doll to me before she did. I don't know anything about her and anything anyone knows about her is much appreciated thank you!

She looks really familiar but I'm not sure what she is. Does she have any markings? She's really cute!

She has no markings on her. She has on a cloth diaper and it's like stapled on by something the only thing that has markings is the bottom of her stand that says Knickerbocker plastics. She does look similar to the ginger dolls.

Her eyes also open and close lol

This is the only page I could find on Knickerbocker dolls (assuming that's what she is going by that marking) but nothing there looks like her. http://www.dollreference.com/knickerbocker_dolls.html

Good luck identifying her! She's really sweet. She does look a lot like those Ginny dolls.

Edit: but going by this she might not be a Ginny as they were made by Vogue and had more markings http://www.ehow.com/how_5516183_spot-ginny-doll-manufacturer-mark.html

It looks like Knickerbocker is the company who manufactured that heart-shaped doll stand but maybe not the doll herself.

I've just woken up ;) thanks for pointing that out. Also it seems that Knickerbocker Dolls and Knickerbocker Plastics may have been 2 different companies anyway - from a quick google the quality looks very different between their dolls.

Hi she is probably around 8 inches tall. I can't find anything that looks just like her. :/ Do the Ginger dolls normally have markings? This doll has no markings that I could see.. she also has like a metal peg sticking out of her left leg. I will take more pictures later to see if anyone can see any identifiers that would set off red flags as to who she actually is!

For sure she isn't a Ginny doll because I just read on this vintage doll website (http://vintdolls.com/ginny.html) that Ginnys are always marked.

It's tough, she looks a bit like all of them (she looks the most like the Gingers though, which coincidentally may have no markings)... :wonder:

If she's a Ginger doll she'd have a marking on the head, or feet.

This site makes me think she's an Andrea doll. The face looks very similar. I can't find out any other info on Andrea dolls, though!
