hey guys
i recently acquired my sisters strawberry shortcake dolls and some of them are a little icky D:
i was hoping someone could suggest some way of giving these girls a clean??

Alas, it looks like your SSC dolls have VDS. It's basically the SSC version of pony "cancer." Learn more about that here: http://www.strawberry-shortcake.net/DollInfo/VDS.htm

Now, I have never used the stuff myself, but was a member of the online SSC community for many years, and heard many collectors say that Remove-Zit is the *only* product that will banish VDS spots. Here's where you can buy that: http://www.twinpines.com/

thank you so much for your reply!! i had a feeling this would be the outcome D: as disappointed as i am i know my sister will be crushed! will give that a try if no luck then ill have to search to replace them -sigh. ^_^ thanks again <3

I had luck removing cancer from vintage SSC dolls with regular acne cream and sun fading.  Dab the spots with acne cream, cover them with saran wrap and set the doll in the sunny window and forget about her for awhile.  Make sure to cover the hair unless you want it to fade.

ooh i think ill give that a try first as i have those around my house!!
id hate to replace them.. i know theyd be the same doll.. but just not the same attachment...you know what i mean?
