Purple Baby pegasuses?
« on: January 22, 2013, 01:36:50 PM »
Is there any other (g1) purple pegasuses than Baby Yoyo? If not, which is the easiest way to make a purple pegasus?

Paint a white one I guess....

spraypaint vs brush painting?

Huh. I guess there aren't any more other than nirvanas.
As for which is easier, it depends:
  - A bursh is easy because you don't have to buy and learn to use an airbrush.
  - An airbrush is easier because it leaves a nice even finish, and no brush marks, which are VERY hard to eliminate if you use a paint brush.
So it's up to you which of these sounds easier by your standards. Personally, I think an airbrushed paint job looks nicer.

I'm not exactly sure if you meant literal spray paint, but just in case you did, I just want to let you know DO NOT use spray paint to paint a pony. It won't hurt anything, but the stuff flakes an falls off within weeks or days. Even when it's been sealed, I think.
You can ask for more advice in the Customs forums, and probably get better answers.
I'll put something here some time

Be careful to use an acrylic-based paint and not an oil-based one--oil-based paints and sealants react with the plasticizer in the pony body and create a sticky mess.  It might be good to watch some tutorials and practice a bit before you try it with your big project.

I'll check every tutorial I can find and also will play around and test stuff before I try anything serious. Thank you :)

Oh yes...and OMG High flyer is perfect, both in body and haircolor!...but I wonder are these considered rare?

Thing is...I want one to add in the collection...and I want one to customize ^^ Flurry is also what I'm looking for in bodycolor.

I feel like most of those that are mentioned are more pink than purple in my opinion (granted I've only checked them on Mylittle wiki...maybe pictures are deceiving? )

Flurry would be an expensive pony for customising but I am sure you could track down a baity High Flier given some time. Although her colour is similar to a couple of the other ponies mentioned so if they are the wrong shade for you unfortunately she may be as well.

Isn't North Star lavander? at least my adult one  looks like that to me, at some pony sites  it says they are both pink but she looks lavander to me.

Maybe mine is yellowed?

Mine looks pink and I have always thought of her as pink...but...she is one of those colours that could perhaps easily be considered a pinky purple perhaps.
