Friendship is Magic custom G1s?

I have been looking through the forum but can't see an answer- has anyone taken G1 ponies and made them to look like FiM characters? Classic Applejack got me thinking about it. And then someone mentioned their de-flocked Lofty I think it was looking like Fluttershy (though I think that pose might be too outgoing for her).

I was thinking about giving it a shot, but I haven't customized before. Plus I do like the originals so much, especially the feel of the original rubber. Some customs that get painted all over lose that niceness. I was thinking if I could semi-restore ones that were close to look like FiM that might be better- e.g. taking a baity Twilight and dying her body and hair and modifying the cutie mark to look like Twilight Sparkle or the Lickity Split I have ending up a Pinkie Pie (though maybe the Truly pose is a better fit for Pinkie Pie).

Many of the customs in that thread are G1 to G4, not G4 to G1.  I have seen a handful of G1 FiM customs around, so hopefully others will post.  The G4 characters are so stylized that as a customizer I personally haven't been tempted to do this because the pony personalities don't seem to fit the more sedate body style of G1s.  Just a taste thing on my part, but it's a fun idea to try!

Doh, I read it wrong sorry! I thought you wanted g1-g4 not g4-g1. I have seen a few pretty ones around.

I remember kantaka did Fluttershy, and I believe Rainbow Dash as g1s -- they turned out awesome!
