My husband is very nice, but occasionally teases me about the ponies sharing our living space. :P That's understandable. Our apartment isn't huge, however, and a decreasing amount of space to display ponies doesn't seem to be doing much to dissuade my collecting! XD

and i sitll buy them on occasion if thers soem i need atwhat i think is reasnable amount.   although recently i am going trhough  this whole self imposed pony dry spell. saving up for things.  i did just recently   pay  for my giant frilly.

i saved up for her then just recently went ona pony shopping spree  XD got the poof n puff sevreal  ponys.  a couple Big brothers a little brother. babys  the waterfall (with box)  then went to th  flea market and got 20 ponys for  under  8.00  but other then that i'm  curbing my spending and  only getting the ones i really want.

haha these replies are great! My bf isn't really against it, he just likes to tease and thinks its cute, and when I'm not looking he will go into my pony closet and rearrange a few of them....one day he even decided to play pony reproduction, I opened the closet and poor starbow was stuck under 4-speed hahaha it was pretty funny though ;p Sometimes he will even question me about the different types and their value :)

Normally I dont go through that many dry spells but right now I think I am going through one. The target isn't ready over here yet. The TRU express left the area. So theres next to nothing in my area for toys. :/  Though hopefully things will get better for me in late spring and summer. I am still waiting for the new target to open up.

O boy good topic.. Ya know I have to have your b/f's voice in my head... I have been collecting for quite some time and have sold off many ponies from my collection
only to buy more... With the final purchase of my Thailand Sunburst, I have to say enough is enough... I am retiring from buying for a while..

I used to find so many (usually g3s) at the thrift store that I could keep myself off of eBay.  Lately there hasn't't even been anything at the thrift store so I've been surfing eBay.  There's no such thing as too many ponies (I just bought 2 yesterday!). :silly:

I don't allow myself to buy anything the month before my birthday so starting March 3rd, I'll slow down considerably.  But in the meanwhile. . ,

My mother always says to me about my obsessive toy collecting "Don't you think you have enough?" But she still seems interested in learning what a Nirvana is or learning about different types of 80's toys. My mum always acts as if she thinks I'm crazy, but I know she doesn't mind and knows it makes me a very happy chappy!

I'm buying again but I'm also trying to sell and make a little bit of space. I've just moved house, so I'll be getting new shelves for my collection which will be lovely :) Although then I'll know exactly how many I have which will be a bit scary.

Since we bought our house, and I pay for daycare, my pony buying days have all but stopped. Luckily, my family and friends understand that it is a passion...well, to them, hobby of mine, and so all of my gift getting occasions are marked with ponies. In a way, it's fun to see who is going to be under all the wrapping paper. Plus, I love that G4s are currently in stores, so those who don't have my long vintage wishlist can still just go into a store and give me pony joy. They just ask my hubby which ones I don't have already. He's my living check list. lol

But I am glad that I am in the minority. My family and friends are great. While they may wonder why I feel the need to keep getting more and more, they don't ask. lol
