How do you go about making a purchase?

from what i've read and found out myself, you need an agent. i was using taobaonow, but never went thru with purchase. i was a bit iffy about it. basically you tell the agent what you want (by copying and pasting taobao link onto agents "order form") they purchase and collect/receive on your behalf, then they post to you. so it generally means you pay for the item, for it to be posted to agent, and for agent to post to you. and i think there was a fee as well. some people have had good success with ordering from taobao, but i personally was to scared of something going wrong and having to try and sort it out. there's probly others on here that know more, but i hope that helps you out a bit

Taobaonow is my agent. I've used them three times now and am pretty happy with them. They speak pretty good English, usually respond to any correspondence within 24 hours and their fees are among the lowest available.

I have only done it once, but I used Bhiner. I found they were really helpful. good contact both independently and when I contacted them. One of my items I ordered was a tinself haired Rainbow dash, but when it arrived it had no tinsel. They contacted me straight away to check it I wanted it, with a photo. I said no thank you and they returned it, and credited me straight away.
They took photos of everything for me to check, and even took a photo of the package when it was all wrapped up ready to come to me.

I know it was only one transaction, but I was really pleased with how it went.
