If you are going to paint the body you have to remove the mold release the factory put on the doll, use pure acetone to quickly rub over the body and get it off.

Be very careful and fast because pure acetone will eat the hard plastic body if it is left on there for too long.

You could wash it off, it's not gonna hurt any. Or you can use rubbing alcohol to re-clean your doll body before you pant to ensure you also get hand oils off the body.
