Celestia/Pinkie and Luna/Rarity sets?

Pinkie and Rarity are variants of the blister pack Crystal Empire ones, they just have the hexagon shape in their eyes and no tinsel. My Meijers carries them, and I'm sure others are getting them in, too.

Does that really qualify them as variants I just see them as standard Pinkie and Rarity in that case, and bait fodder xD

I agree variant is probably not the term I would normally use. There are variances between the 2 ponies however so perhaps that's what people mean? For me a variant is what Greek Butterscotch is to regular Butterscotch. Releases like this for me are just re releases with minor changes. I guess its down to how we individually refer to items.

Found them at Target in Katy, TX last night.
They were $12.99. I caved in and got the Celestia set because I had wanted the "small" White Celestia for the longest. Dx

I REALLY want that Luna, but both sets I've found her in have annoying tinsel. I guess I'll have to cave.

I knew I wanted Celestia since she's finally white, but now I want that Luna as well, so I guess I'll be buying both sets. I don't need an extra Rarity or Pinkie Pie, but I guess I can always sell or trade them.

If you find them before I do, I'll take the Rarity off your hands!

They were $12.99. I caved in and got the Celestia set because I had wanted the "small" White Celestia for the longest. Dx

I wanna say there were about five of the Luna/Rarity sets and one of the Celestia/Pinkie sets (not including the one I bought).  Not sure how many come in a case, but I wanna guess there are more Lunas per case than Celestia.

Sister was in Katy today,her husband plays soccer over there on sundays, so I asked her today to check the target there and she found them
she also got me the Design a Pony ,both of them ,
she sent me a pic of them , is on my link   more pics when they get home later today !
so glad she found them ,I was very close to just get them from  BBT site early this week.
