Question about trading cards

Did any of the promos ever come from the actual trading card packs? Before they started appearing at the conventions?

Like the rarity, applejack, etc?

Nope, only the conventions.

In the packs you can find the basic cards, most foils (excludes promos and discord set), and gold foils (very rare).

The promos can be found at either the conventions, in certain box sets (currently twilight sparkle, pinkie, and dj pon3) or sometimes on the enterplay website if you're lucky.

Yeah I knew that, but I didn't want to say they never came from the packs and then find out they maybe the first wave release of card came with some mixed in packs.

Nope. My full set is all first run cards. There were never any promos :[ Which stinks because I can't pay the ridiculous prices on ebay for them!

mkia9 is right so far the exclusives have turned up in a variety of different ways but never within the single pack purchases.

I so need to get these on the New thread...anyway so far its been:
