Can Anyone Help me find a good BJD Tutorial List??!

I could have sworn that I have seen more than one decent-sized list of good BJDs tutorials that cover a variety of topics but after spending over 30 minutes searching four or fives sites plus Google I've decided to give up and just ask: I am looking for a list of bjd tutorials that cover all the basics of maintaining and customizing ball jointed dolls. (Preferably easy to follow for dolly n00bs such as myself. For example, tuts. w/not too many acronyms that leave me scratching my head. ) Things such as restringing, face-ups, blushing, wigs, patterns, ect.. I can find tons of tutorials here and there but can't find one source or thread that contains a good list.

  I know there is a list out there somewhere!!!!!!! Can someone please, please, please direct me?!!

Really, I'd look on DOA. Thats where I get what I need. If you look under workshop you can do a quick search for whichever you've looking for. Stringing is really going to depend on the doll although most of them string the same. So for example if you wanted to restring PongPong, just do a search for restring puki.

.... I did. DoA was one of the umpteen billion sites (okay, okay, four or five) that I combed through as I really did think that I had seen a thread with a list On DoA before!!! I'm not sure if I'm not using the search function correctly or what but whenever I try to search for something on DoA I end up with forty pages of threads. There is just so much information on DoA that I really didn't care for the idea of taking an entire day to shift through tons of individual tutorials; thus why I was looking for a list. (I even searched through my email looking for the links that You gave me and gave that up, too; we talk too much! LMAO)

I'm certain you can find any basic inforation at DoA Wiki
Any further information you'd better search deeper since there's A LOT of stuff about anything related to BJD.

The basic to know is:

About sizing:

1/12 doll = About 11cm (wig is usually size 4)
1/6 doll = About 27cm (wig is usually size 6-7)
1/4 doll = About 43cm (wig is usually size 7-8)
1/2 doll= About 60~65cm / About 70cm/ About 80cm (wig is usually size 8-9 or 9-10)

About buying any outfit, wig or shoes, you'd better check the doll's mesurements since they vary from brand to brand.


About Maintance:

*No sunlight (turns the resin yellow with the time).
*No hands on the head/face (even the chin or ears), try moving the head by holding on the wig (same reason as below)
*No swety/dirty hands or oily stuff on the resin (might stain and the oil makes the resing turn yellow by the time).
*Carefull with things you put on the wig or materials on the clothes/accessories in contact with the resin ('cause they might stain).
*When cleanning the BJD, use a detergent (the soap you use to do the dishes) because it's not oily and won't harm the resin (clean it with a towel, try not deeping the doll in wather or you migh demage the faceup and the strings). You can opt by the Magic block, but avoid using it on the doll's face/head because it'll wear out the faceup lttle by lttle.(painted part's are better cleanned with magic block, 'cause the wather might demage them).
*Protect your doll's faceup and fingers when putting it inside a bag or something.(the fingers areusually  are the first thing to break due to bad storage or a fall).
*When making your doll stand by it's own, try not living it alone, or in hight places, and keep an eye on it 'cause even when it looks very stable it might fall by any time.
*You might have to loose/tighten the doll's string (or restring the whole doll) if you feel the doll's not posing nicelly.

Anything else, like "how to do a faceup", or "materials I can use to paint the doll", "pattens", "resin match", "sueding" etc you'd better search individually 'cause there's a lot of steps, cares and tips...

I haven't been on DOA much since the forum update. It looks more confuzzling than ever, so I'm not surprised it might be harder to find what you're looking for. 

...Don't think that there was ever a really nice, up-to-date comprehensive BJD site.

Was there something in particular that you needed help with? Maybe we can direct you better with more specifics, if not answer the question for you? 

Restringing is not nearly as scary as it looks, it's really just a matter of having the right tools available to make it easier. I maintain a 'tool bag' that I bring with me to meets that has the essentials in it, and an extra pair of hands is always a welcome addition~

Thanks for posting, lovies. Here's what it is: I got into the hobby a couple of months ago, got very overwhelmed by the amount of information available and did some quick research trying to cover all the basics just to wrap my head around the artistic side. This was three to four months ago so it's possible that the thread, board, site or whatever it was that I'm thinking about isn't up anymore (and it's also Totally possible that I had a dream and thought it was real; it's right embarrassing how often I actually do that! ) But, in my fevered newbie research I discovered a site with just a general list of basic tutorials. Maybe it was, in fact a dream and I need to compile a list myself for mine and others uses. There is SO much information out there; it would be great to have a go-to spot for the best tutorials on the most current in doll maintenance and customization.

There are some really good links here, but a fair few are dead or not accessible. (And what the heck is "The Joint" anyways?)

  I had decided that I would make up a personalized 'book' of my favorite tutorials out there, printed and put into a three-ring binder for my own references but I just snagged the BJD Orbyrarium for a steal on eBay (Anypony have that book?) and will wait until it arrives so that I can see what information I want to stick in my own lil "book." No point in wasting paper and ink on printing pages on restringing when it's already in the BJD Oby. I'll prolly make up a list compiled of all my resources once it's finished and post it somewhere for others who are looking for an online basic, one-stop place for tutorials.
   I figure it's gonna be a pretty big project, there is SO much information to go through out there!! I prolly won't even start it until after the first of the year.

I found a tutorial list on DOA once but it's hard to find through the search and some of the links were old. I'll see if I can find it again.
