I never had one, but I do remember seeing them in the stores years ago.

I remember seeing those in stores. I think I got one once from my Teta. My mom always opted to pick out stocking stuffers for us herself.

What's funny, duckie, is that my family celebrates both holidays and I still get a stocking.  XD  I'm 30.  They have lotto scratch-offs, nail polish, and good candy.  Sometimes an airplane-sized bottle of Kahlua for my morning coffee.

that sounds good to me! i love kahlua :D

I remember them. My mother, like many others it seems, liked to get more bang for her buck. She never bought pre-packaged gift sets. Our Christmas stockings and Easter baskets were always hand-filled with thoughtful little knickknacks. These honestly never held any appeal for me as a child, my sights were always set on something "bigger and better". Plus we had our own stockings that we had put our names on by hand with glue and glitter and I loved hanging mine up every year.

While I never wanted one of these, it is always fun to look and see what's in them.

I liked the idea of them, but even I could tell that the contents weren't as appealing as they first seemed.  Some of the pre-made Easter baskets enticed me, though.  The brand name ones, like M&Ms or Jelly Belly.  I can't remember if I ever got one, but they were fun to drool over.  Also, those giant stockings WERE impressive, regardless of the quality of the toys inside.

Out of curiosity, do they still sell the Easter baskets with plush toys and treats inside large balloons?  I haven't been back home for Easter in over seven years.  In the UK there are treat-filled chocolate eggs in lieu of baskets.

I remember these, but never got one as a kid. My mom always made our stockings for us. Actually, she still makes me one (at my insistence) because I love them so much! They're like the pregame! Haha. And she fills them with chocolates, lottery scratchers, and littler gifts like jewelry or pens or things :]. I've had the same stocking since I can remember xD

I remember seeing them and liked the "feel" of the mesh. I never got one, but friends sometimes did. My mom stuffed out stockings with all sorts of stuff including the life saver book. One year my brother and I didn't get a stocking, we got trash cans... I got a she-ra one FULL of stuff and my brother got a rainbow brite trashcan, his was full as well. That year I remember getting a she-ra doll and a Catra (oh how I loved Catra) and he got he-man and I think Starburst She-ra. We got other stuff in the cans as well, but I just remember those items. I remember asking my mom where our stockings were and she said she didn't know and promptly asked me to take the wrapping paper trash to the den. I went in the den and squealed that there was something in there and she asked me to bring it in the living room so she could see. (she always was crafty with our holidays) Oh and once my best friend and I bought knitted green stockings that came with little sweaters that fit Ken dolls perfectly.
