Our little abode: MLP Arena. A place where we could talk about our love of ponies. A place where we can talk about our experiences, life, and other interesting things in a safe haven. No haters...no trolling...no attacks. A safe haven where we are protected to love what we want and be respected no matter what happens.

[you] was a member of this haven for two years. It was a place on the internet like no other. In fact, it's probably the only place on the internet like this! A place where he/she could make friends, have someone to talk to when needed, and find information. [you]'s safe haven was this place. He/she felt that other places would ridicule for who he/she was...but not on MLP Arena...like everyone else, welcomed with open arms and there for each others' individual attention.

It was a usual day for [you]. There was a topic about a price check of G1 Minty. Minty, of course, was a loveable pony. [you] checked it out. Of course, he/she was interested! [you] was given knowledge of the price, availability, and even if it was worth using as a customizable pony. Posts by posts of love, information, and "I WANT IT NOW!" moments. There was one post...on the other hand...that seemed out of place:

What kinda post was that? [you] tried to quote the post and posted it...the only result was:

[you] was directed to the archived arena page. It was a graveyard of old posts and a different system. He/she decided to go back to her MLP Arena site by bookmark. He/she was able to get back in like usual. Still...the weird post and trying to respond the post got to her. Maybe it was just a slip of the system's code. He/she tried again...and the same thing repeated.

This was strange...though over the past years, he/she noticed the pages slipping out. This was pretty new, however. [you] decided to lurk around the Off Topic on the board...and there was a noticeable topic:

Subject: Weird post on Pony Coral?
Message: at this topic about the g1 minty, there was a weird post about ip tracking and user contact info. i tried responding to the post...even tried quoting, and it redirected me to the old page of mlp arena. never seen this happen before...anyone noticed?

Looks like [you] wasn't the only one noticing. In one hour, the topic's posts reached up to 100...almost like a world record for the site...well...the topic was now getting boring and old news...so back to lurking...

...yet by going to the home page, the domain could not be found by the browser. [you] checked other sites, so it wasn't his/her internet. It was probably emergency downtime.

[you] still had an hour to kill before heading out to his/her part time job in the afternoon, so went to look at the Steam Forums, a company site mostly about games and a little bit of creations. [you] decided to lurk around the general discussion...while lurking, there was a topic that stood out of place:

Subject: Operation eliminate ponies.

This is a laugh...probably some new game coming out on Steam or a person wanting that game on Steam. Clicking on the topic...was an entirely, different story.

Message: The other topic got closed down, so created another to continue dis discussion. I tested the worm on the page and was able to see the post on one topic. Code isn't correct though.

Post: yeah I just noticed. sending code to you on steam. wait for a message.

...This has to be a coincidence right? They can't be talking about the MLP Arena site! Sadly...the afternoon shift was coming for [you]. Despite the scary curiosity, life called and he/she left for work.

Today was busy, but that was a good thing. The extra holiday sales will sure boost his/her paycheck! [you] walked through the door, made a cup of nice, hot coffee to warm hiself/herself up, and sat on the sofa. The TV was turned on...the channel was on Cartoon Network. Heh...earlier he/she was babysitting his/her niece. Of course it would make sense...The Flintstones were playing...it was an marathon to honor the series. [you] decided to keep it on that channel for nostalgia's sake. That's when cartoons were awesome...not those weird battle monster things or robots.

BRRIING!!!....BRIIING!!!

The phone rang and [you] picked it up. He/she was expecting his/her mother on the phone...after all, he/she had a loving mother who wanted to be sure that her son/daughter had a great day.

"Hey." you stated in a relaxed tone.

The voice was different...and [you] didn't recongnize it.

"Hey you f(#($ bronie. Enjoying the weather?"

Bronie? First off, [you] didn't refer fans of MLP like that. It was only a saying adopted by G4 of MLP. Second...how did that person know that he/she was a fan of MLP? It was kept as an unknown hobby. Even [you]'s friends and family didn't know.

"Who is this?" [you] asked, feeling a tad bit insulted.

"Yeah. I just got this phone number out of the site to describe how you are so pathetic liking a kid's show. I bet you think about it dirtily!"

"How dare you!" [you] said. "That is disgusting!"

"You know what else is disgusting? You enjoying stuff like that! Because of that, you are just a disgusting person!"

"Who is this?! How did you get my phone number?! How did you even know about my interests! That's none of your concern!"

"F***ot"

"Call me back again and I will report you to the police!" [you] slammed the phone.

A tear fell off his/her eye. That moment, he/she was violated mentally...how did anyone know of his/her hobby? As a matter of fact...the phone number...wait...

[you] rushed back to the computer and the same topic on the Steam Forums...there was a post that referred to a different topic...apparently, part 1 of that topic.

Subject: Operation ponietime
Message: MLParena.com is making a mockery of forums. I'm sick and tired of looking at the place being mentioned by a couple of my friends. I'm trying to write a script to steal the user information and leading to the personal information from them.

My Little Pony this. My Little Pony that. sick Sick SICK of it.

Post: Dude I'm with ya. ask me if you need pointers.

Fear struck...and [you] could no longer read any further...it was evident...the site got hacked and the url was purged out of existence. What's even worse...they somehow got the information of every username...that would explain the phone call out of nowhere.

Would there be more?...No...couldn't be...[you] was certain the authorities are notified by now...and there are thousands of other users...Anyways...looks like it's getting late. It was time for him/her to hit the hay...

Teeth brushed, a hot shower, and comfortable PJs were put on. [you] jumped in the bed and relaxed.

BRIIIING....BRIIING...

The phone on the bedside was ringing. It would be nice if that was his/her mother. He/she couldn't wait to tell what happened today.

"Weirdest thing happen to me today, mom."

It was a different voice...

"What? You missed the new episode of that stupid show?"

"Who's this?!" [you] yelled.

"Wooaah you need to chill out...no need to get defensive on your pathetic hobby. You're already sick enough as is, into girly, kiddy stuff like that."

[you] hanged up. Another harassing phone call on his/her hobby.

BRIIING....BRIIING....

"Hello...?" [you]'s voice was meek.

"HEY MY LITTLE PONY. I USED TO WONDER WHAT GAYNESS WOULD BE-"

He/she hanged up. This was becoming scary...too scary....

BRIIING....

No...[you] was too afraid to answer the phone now. That was enough calls for the day...yet throughout the night, the calls continued and the answering machine took those messages. They were heard throughout the night.

"Rarity is worst pony"

"Minty...wow you must wanna eat her up."

"ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"

Days passed...and [you] was scared more than ever. He/she received emails and even mails from the post office. His/her house was trashed with eggs and toilet paper...a news segment on the world news was describing this. Over thousands of people were suffering the same thing as he/she did: the mails...the phone calls...the attacking of their houses...The police were able to track those who sent mails from the post office and those who were vandalizing houses...it wasn't enough. Anonymous interviewers described it...even one of them was [you]'s friend who he/she talked with her on Skype. It was apparent...all of the MLP arena users...were victims...just like he/she was. The investigation went on for weeks...and yet every lead for the detectives came empty handed....

The MLP arena members...were being mentally tortured in real life...

Interesting idea, but it just seems to end without a twist or revelation or anything. And I'll agree that it's not really scary. It seems more...sad to me. But definitely unnerving. And it did suck me in, so that's neat!

Eh, first of all, I think you guys already know my stand on FIM (if you don't, well, I'm not going to bring it up again. I noticed that each time I reply, it degrades into a flamewar and will murder the thread).
