Hello, everypony!
So as my holiday gift from me to me, I will be indulging in the tools and some dollyhair with which to rehair some of my more, er, follicly-challenged ponies. I'm not usually very artistically inclined, but I can cross-stitch, sew simply, and embroider, so I figured I'd give this a try, seen as a needle is also involved.

But before I do, I'd appreciate some advice.

My main questions are:
1. What's the best tool to use?
2. What would be the closest match for the following: SHS Beautybloom, Flutter Forget-Me-Not (there are too many shades of white out there

), SS Satin-and-Lace, and the blue streak in the first batch of G1 Rainbow ponies? Also, for rehairing my fading-pink beauties, should I opt for Pussycat or Tea Rose? I'm looking at a baby Cotton Candy, a MGR Flower Bouquet, a Posey, and a Lickety Split, plus maybe a Sundance or two who need new locks...
3. Is the Fabri-Tac glue a good choice for the vinyl on ponies, or is there a better glue you might recommend?
And if you'd like to share other tips or advice for a noob rehairer, please do.
