People actually think MLP Tales is G2? O.o I must be living under a rock lol. I can't wrap my mind around how you could think it is G2 considering - as mentioned - the artstyle and the toys is spot on with the rest of the G1 line.
Not to mention I remember and episode that had the Glow And Show ponies in it which are from Year 9 of the G1 line.

Now don't get me started on the Swedish MLP Tales DVD covers though...

However I'm well aware of the coverart on the original MLP show and that that has G2's on it and how confusing that can be. But then it should be the original show that is misstaken for G2's O.o

G1 characters (Humans, Moochick, Smooze) + g1 and g2 ponies + g3 logo.  That's a pretty darn impressive mash up,   

And where in Ponyville is that white mansion supposed to be from?

I adore that image LadyM - every single time I see it!

I actually will give them the mansion as I think that could be the G2 mansion [even though its of course years after the original movie]

I know someone over at "that guy with the glasses" made a my little pony retrospect and called Tales "G2".
Why he didn't bother to look up some facts is beyond me.

Didn't he also call the town from the show "Coltonville"?  I believe he got the name from a recent edit to Wikipedia, and the only source for it I could find was a single fanfiction called "A Pony and a Portal".  But see, the more people parrot this made-up name, the harder it will be to track down its source, and eventually everyone will assume "Coltonville" is an official term!  Isn't the Internet great at spreading misinformation?
