Anime inspired PVC dolls? HELP!

So I found these at the Value Village and just thought they were so cute, but I have absolutely no idea what they are or their purpose is!
They have a little strip of metal on their feet and a bright white series starting with 4 numbers, then 2 letters. That's it!  No maker's mark, place of origin, nothing!  Any ideas on the mystery dolls? They're only about the size of an FiM pony head to toe.

Oi! I don't remember the name of the things but if I remember correctly you bought those little guys and had a little platform you stuck them on (explains the medal strip on their feet) and there was a virtual world that the figurine would be the users avatar in the world..

Those are Funkeys. That's all I know about them.

Funkey were computer based collectable action figures/PVC statues that were made before the Spiro dragon figures.

They were sold in two packs with a base that connected to the computer and were interactive like Neopets and such.
