Costom color

can anyone help me?
I'll make a costom by myself and jagh should have brown mane and tail, but wondered what fits brown color thought to the body.
I have another problem, but it might not be you can answer, but I do not know what her / my cutemark should be O_o

Hmm. I would suggest going over to the art part of the forum to get some help with creating a pony. Blackestbird or any other artist can even make you a great ref sheet if needed.

There are many colors that work beautifully with brown. Try to Google some color spectrum to get a good feel on what colors you like.

For a symbol, that's a little harder. It should depend on what or who you're making it for..or if it's just a random custom you're making, pick a theme/animal/etc and work the colors around the theme.

i´m making the pony for me and it is going to be my imeg of me as a pony but it´s hard to find out what mark the pony will get :O

Well, if the pony represents you, I'm afraid none of us can really tell you what the symbol should be. That's something you'll have to decide for yourself so it's a really personal pony. Just think about things you like and things that are important to you.

I'm fond of brown paired with blue or even pink.

Do you have a drawing program on your computer? Just make a page of brown, then draw stripes of other colors on top of it and pick the ones that you like best with it

You could try playing around with Colourlovers: http://www.colourlovers.com/palettes I've used it a couple of times when I've had a hard time coming up with a colour combination for a custom, it's very handy! You can either browse the palettes until you find something you like, or you can do a search with a specific colour or keyword. Here are some I found with the keyword 'coffee', for example.

If it's a dark brown I would match some pale colors like cream or vanilla or even grass green.

If its a lighter brown, I personally luv mint green or light pink with it =)

You could try painting with pencils to see what would match?

Also I am always using the getcolor program to grab color ratios from images I like.  It was free to download and it can be helpful if you see a color you like but you don't know how to replicate it. ^^

For the colour, you could try your favorite colour if you have one, or just someting you find pretty.

For the cutie mark, is there something you are particularly interested in, or something you're particularly good at? Something you enjoy doing would work too, or maybe a favorite shape, good luck charm, symbol.. Something along those lines.
